Name: Scourge
Series: Robots in Disguise
Allegiance: Decepticon
Alternate Mode: Longnose Truck Cab
TRUCK MODE
Height: 3cm Length: 6.5cm Width: 3cm
A small black truck cab, Scourge has red windows and headlights, silver smokestacks, grill & front bumper and a Decepticon symbol on his nose. He has six wheels, and although the middle set are moulded, all six have painted hubcaps. At first glance it looks like all six roll, so the look is maintained (unlike SpyChanger Ultra Magnus whose middle wheels they never bothered painting). The rear wheels are on an axle, and there's half axles on the front wheels, so he rolls very well.
While it's tiny, it's a well done truck mode. It looks nice, in fact it's almost cute. Scourge has a truck mode I can't fault.
TRANSFORMATION TO ROBOT MODE
Pretty similar to the full sized toy. Extend the rear to form the legs, spilt the sides of the nose to form the shoulderpads, the arms will follow and come out from the sides. Flip the head up from within the cabin.
ROBOT MODE
Height: 7.5cm Width: 4.5cm
Probably the cutest ruthless bad guy leader you ever saw, Scourge is a good reproduction of his larger toy. Grey is the dominant colour in this mode, although he has black fists & forearms, shins & feet and a black head. He has a silver mouthplate, jade eyes, kneecaps & blasters on his shoulders. This toy has only two blasters on his shoulders, whereas the large one has three. He has simulated cabin windows on his chest, just like the big guy (and the Laser Rod Optimus Prime toy it's based on).
Poseability is average for a SpyChanger. His shoulders move a bit, allowing his arms to point outward, and his elbows bend. The larger is far more poseable, but I can't really expect too much more from a toy at this size.
The only downside to this mode is a head which (on mine at least) flops back into it's storage spot inside the cabin. But as long as he's standing still, it wont spontaneously fall - it has to be moved. Not really a major negative, but the only blight on an otherwise good robot mode.
VARIATIONS
None that I'm aware of.
OVERALL
With good colours, two good modes and no real drawbacks, SpyChanger Scourge is probably one of the best new moulds Robots In Disguise saw that Car Robots didn't have. He's almost like a minime for the big toy, but it's still a well done toy in it's own right. Only dragged down by one loose joint and to a lesser extent, solid moulded wheels - 9/10
