Name: Prowl 2 [Shudder]
Series: Robots in Disguise
Allegiance: Autobot
Alternate Mode: Police Car
(Note: I'm not going to refer to this toy by it's Hasbro given name from here on in, since it's so utterly bad. I'm simply calling it Prowl)

CAR MODE
Height: 2cm Length: 7.5cm Width: 3cm
Prowl turns into a blue & white police car, with a grey grill section, red strobes, silver-blue windows, black tyres, silver wheels and gold trim at the base of the doors for some reason. There's a fair bit of detail in the mould, but a lot of it is lost in the paint job - he has moulded tail lights but they're white the same as the rest of the rear. The base plastic is white, actually, with a blue spoiler, blue on the front of the hood and the bottom of the doors.
This mode has both good and bad mixed together. It's a fairly nice police car mould, with an okay colour scheme. What drags it down is the paint job. The Autobot symbol, which all RiD Spychangers feature, is a big one on the hood (as opposed to the standard small one on the roof the others have). This in itself isn't a bad thing, but it's red with a white border - and the bottom half of it is over the top of blue paint - with a blue shadow under the white trim, whereas the top is over base white plastic, the overall effect is rather dodgy. Seems like they were more worried about getting the toy on the shelves than fixing minor details (like the name, for instance).
On the other hand, it's probably one of the better GoBot/Spychanger vehicle modes (it's an unused G2 GoBot mould), reminiscent of Gearhead of G2 in car shape, but with better detail. He has axles so he can roll freely & straight. He can use a Hot Wheels style track, although I don't have any so I miss out on that feature )c8
TRANSFORMATION TO ROBOT MODE
Pretty simple. Pull down the rear to form the legs, fold down the hood to form the chest, pull out the arms, and remove the gun from between his shins. This is a feature the original six moulds of this type didn't have, and it's a nice feature.
ROBOT MODE
Height: 7cm Width: 4cm
Prowl's robot mode adds yellow & black to his car mode colours. Basically, we have black shins & feet, yellow thighs, blue & white chest, white arms, black gun and a yellow and blue head. Pretty typically GoBot/Spychanger mouldwise, with a huge Autobot symbol on the chest - it's about twice the height of his head!
The head itself is a rather odd looking thing, the base colour is yellow, but pretty much the entire face is blue, except the eyes. It's a dark enough blue that it pretty much hides all the details of the face and it looks strange on a guy with a yellow head and white shoulders. It's not terrible, but there was no real need for this explosion of blue.
The arms are long, although not as long as Gearhead & his offspring. The slot between his legs is deep enough that he has an exposed axle, I think this is the only Spychanger mould that has an exposed axle, actually. The colour scheme is similar to Ox of Car Robots (think RiD Ironhide without all that red).
VARIATIONS
As mentioned, this was an unreleased G2 Gobot mould, so there's probably some prototypes floating around that are different - since both the US and Japan had ideas for this toy that were never put into production. AFAIK, no released variations.
OVERALL
A good Spychanger mould, with good colours but bad paint details. It's more laziness in designing the paint job than a bad paint job, though. There's some good features, like the gun tucking away nicely, and a great mould for the car mode. But there's little things bringing it down, and the name for me is bad enough that I've taken to calling it Streetstar (after a Japanese re-issue of Streetwise). Ignoring the name, and assuming you like Spychangers, 6/10
