SPORTS CAR MODE
Height: 2.5cm Length: 7.5cm Width: 3.5cm
An angular black sports car with silver headlights & windows, Vehicon has grey tyres and some red decorations on his front fenders. At the back there's some grey kibble - the robot feet. If you plug in the gun, it adds some transparent purple. This colour scheme is simple enough that it's difficult to complain, but the grey tyres against black is a little unusual. There's no allegiance symbol in this mode.
I don't like reviewing without personal pronouns, but since this toy represents a clone, I'll refer to it rather than he. This car is angular and has very high front fenders. There are pincers of sorts on the front bumper, giving it a Batmobile kind of look - which is enhanced by the fact it's black. There's a (deliberately) overdone spoiler at the back which helps hide those feet sticking out the back. The only play value here is the rolling tyres and a hole on the hood where the transparent purple weapon can plug in. It doesn't look so good - it's horrifically oversized.
A nice vehicle mode even if the grey tyres are odd & the weapon fails to inspire. The lines work well visually and the whole Batmobiie-esque shape looks good. At least this line gives us weapons at this pricepoint, I guess.
TRANSFORMATION TO ROBOT MODE
Remove & set aside the weapon, if attached. Pull out the sides to form the arms & free the legs. Split the legs, pull the torso forward. Flip out the head and push the torso back. Place the weapon in either hand.
Height: 7.5cm Width: 5.5cm
A black robot with grey legs and a silver chest & waist. The face is silver with a red eyestrain. There's a purple Decepticon logo stamped on the chest while all four tyres are visible here. Unlike the larger toys, there's almost no purple here. The colour scheme still works well enough - it's suitably brooding.
There's some kibble again in this mode. The roof - which split during transformation now forms kibbly panels on the back of his wrists and the front of the car forms a sort of hood over his head. The bodyshape is otherwise good. It has a very simple face which suits a drone.
The play value is decent. The shoulders and hips are ball jointed, the roof panels get in the way of some arm poses, however. The feet are moulded so that it stands with the legs slightly apart, as is common of toys nowadays. Lastly the transparent purple weapon can slide into either hand, and looks like a gun with a machete attached to one side of it.
A good robot mode other than the kibbly panels on the arms. The colours work, the possibility is good enough for a Legions and it displays well.
None that I'm aware of.
A nice little legends toy despite some minor kibble issues in both modes. The colours & styling work well, the weapon only really works in robot mode. It's nice to see Legions getting weapons, and while the colour fits the toy, the design of this weapon doesn't really work - 7.5/10
