"A leader's measure is not in his compassion but his sacrifice"
Prime Convoy is Optimus Prime's heir apparent. He's proven himself to be a capable leader, and has earnt the respect of his comrades. Despite his youth, he's a wise and respected warrior. His leadership style is very different to that of Optimus Prime. He believes that in order to win a war, a leader cannot have compassion for his enemy. He values life, but maintains a level of personal detachment from his enemies (and his troops) that few Autobot leaders can match. Entrusted with leading the Autobots on Cybertron in the absence of Optimus Prime, Prime Convoy has ruthlessly fought the Decepticons he's left to face. His trailer turns into a battle station which either he or his MiniCon, Corona, can utilise. His only real weakness is occasional overeagerness.

"It's not what you are that counts, it what others think you are"
Corona is the ultimate opportunist. He's constantly trying to score points with his comrades. Corona is very concerned with image, likes to be everyone's friend, but will play others off against one another if it suits his purposes. Most Autobots see through his games, but since he's the partner of their leader, he manages to get away with it. He exhibits a loyalty to Prime Convoy that appears out of character, but he knows he's got to keep the leader onside or he'll make a lot of enemies. When Prime Convoy is in robot mode, Corona controls the trailer battle station. Corona's an excellent gunner, and with the battle station he's as good as another Autobot in battle, although he has no weaponry himself.

"Democracy is a disease"
Nightclaw is a loyal and dedicated soldier, something of a rarity amongst Decepticons. He staunchly believes in the Decepticon way - that the Universe is best served through autocratic leadership. While a lot of his colleagues can be self serving, Nightclaw fights for his beliefs. He's not a fan of democracy, since he thinks it's an inefficient waste. He's far from a pacifist, he firmly believes in crushing opposition to autocracy - or dissent within the Decepticon ranks. Nightclaw willingly follows orders, and doesn't think for himself all that much. He's not stupid, but he finds independent thought to be largely counter-productive. A good tracker, Nightclaw's role as sentry often involves bodyguard duties, where detection comes in handy. He prefers slashing weapons to firearms, enjoys using his claws to dismember a foe rather than using ranged weapons. Armed with tough claws in both modes, a electric shock whip in robot mode and eye lasers in cat mode. Nightclaw can fly short distances in cat mode using retractable side mount jets.

"Violence is an end unto itself"
Perfectly partnered with Nightclaw, Smoulder relishes a fight to the finish. He'll stick around in combat situations as long as Nightclaw does, and enjoys ganging up on a foe. Smoulder's not terribly bright and is something of a brute. While he doesn't have the same conviction of cause that Nightclaw has, he lives for the thrill of confrontation. When Nightclaw is on sentry duty, it's his job to scout around, or scurry off to report a sighting. His bodyguard role is usually to scout ahead. His tyres are armed with microscopic spikes which allow him to drive up walls (although not upside down), and his winch is strong enough to lift Nightclaw for short periods. When attached to Nightclaw in cat mode, he increases Nightclaw's flight time slightly, and his manoeuvrability substantially. Shoots acid pellets from his fingertips in robot mode and his light rack in buggy mode.
