"A quick tongue is more powerful than a quick shot"
Cynical, witty warrior. Extremely sarcastic. Gets on well with Warpath, the two are almost inseparable. The true meaning of his words are often disguised. Enjoys his job, although he'd rather be an interrogator so he can 'put those scum in their place', as he puts it. Sometimes his tongue gets him into trouble with larger Autobots and sometimes Warpath has to come to his aid and pull the more aggressive ones off him before they dismember him. Despite his harsh words, he can be very subtle when he wants. Extremely articulate, chooses his words well, the true meanings of others' words are usually apparent to Hornet. Manipulates language to suit himself. Enjoys confrontations, both in battle and when not in battle. If his alternate mode wasn't so slow, he'd enter races on Earth. Carries whip which can inflict electric shocks through its tip. Also carries dart gun which shoots chlorine-gas darts, corroding most metals on contact. In vehicle mode, has retractable spikes in hubcaps. His main liability, apart from his brashness, is his lack of strength.

"Look after yourself, because no one else will"
Switchblade spent the early part of the war living on the streets of Cybertron. Having spent so much time living by his wits, trusting no one but himself, he's wary of everyone, including his fellow Autobots. While he feels accepted by the Autobots, he doesn't feel completely comfortable and doesn't trust a lot of his comrades. The only reason Switchblade joined the Autobots was that he realised he'd be unable to defend himself against an entire Decepticon platoon. Despite his acceptance into the Autobots, he remains a quiet loner. He's a very good hand to hand fighter, who'll use any means necessary to win a fight. Switchblade has a hair trigger, if he feels threatened by anyone (including another Autobot), he's likely to go on the defensive and pull a weapon. Since he's a quick thinker with even quicker reflexes and the ability to think logically under stress, he's well suited to his role. It also keeps him from the frontline, which is something he likes since he doesn't carry a firearm. In robot mode has retractable blades in his forearms. Can fire magnetic darts in either mode that greatly reduce mobility of a foe. Prone to knee joint problems.

"There are no friends in war, only allegiances of convenience"
Cliffbee spends most of his time quietly monitoring Decepticon activity out in the field, and that's just the way he likes it. He's not a very willing Autobot, nor is he much of a socialiser. He does believe in the basic premise of personal freedom - which is the only reason he sides with the Autobots - they let him do his own thing - the Decepticon chain of command means he'd most likely be answering to others all the time. Cliffbee doesn't react well to orders, and often challenges orders from his superiors. He doesn't have many friends amongst the Autobots - none of them really know him, nor trust him as an individual, although the hierarchy value the forewarning his information often gives. Cliffbee has excellent vision, using infra-red, ultra-violet and even gamma rays, he can see in what most would consider total darkness. His hearing is almost as good, although he cannot record for long periods - usually he relies on conscious memory instead. Small, agile and quick reflexed, he can usually make a quick getaway in the unusual event of discovery. Enjoys his solitude and is able to remain motionless for long periods, but when discovered Cliffbee's best defence is usually his ability to escape. His weapons, an ultra-flare gun in robot mode (which creates a spectacular show but causes little if any damage) and headlight light blasts in car mode, are more useful in facilitating his escape than incapacitating a foe. While he can spend long periods out on his own, he often skips maintenance in an attempt to avoid interaction, leaving himself damaged and vulnerable.
