Function: Combiner Squad Assistance
"In order to defeat others, you must first defeat yourself"
Switcher's role is basically to act as a stopgap. He teams up with the Technobots, Protectobots or Aerialbots, depending on where he's needed. When all twelve regular limb combiners are willing and able, he usually functions independently (sometimes he takes First Aid's place so the medic can work on the injured). Fairly quiet, reserved Autobot. Suffers from something of a multiple personality resulting from becoming part of three Gestalts on a regular basis - often suffers from what humans call headaches as his processors go into overload. Although he resents the anguish, he realises his job is a vital one, considering the Decepticon Gestalts outnumber the Autobot ones seven to three. Not particularly strong, but very agile (also in plane mode), making him a tricky opponent in hand-to-hand and air combat, Switcher's a Deft, fast, flyer. His systems have been known to shutdown due to stress. Susceptible to depression, because of the stress of his role. Rarely complains though, spends most of his spare time alone, avoids contact with others when he can. When he gets the chance, Switcher will disappear to a remote island (or planet) and admire the wildlife. Has a fascination for birds, his flying speed is often slow because he dreads the thought of killing a bird while he's flying. Appreciated by fellow combiners, they all accept him into the teams happily, never made to feel out-of-place by his peers. Physically identical to Air Raid, whose body was the prototype for Switcher, carries the same weaponry, has the same capabilities & weaknesses.

"Skill is the most powerful weapon"
Does everything at double speed, thinks incredibly fast, loves to be right in the middle of the action. Doesn't like company, finds other Autobots boring, prefers dodging hailstorms or something equally pointless. When he's forced to communicate with his comrades, Mach Ice comes across as cold, since he's usually disinterested. Enjoys the challenge of fighting in tricky situations; blizzards, volcanic eruptions and the like. Basically, Mach Ice is an action junkie with a one-track mind. Carries liquid Nitrogen bombs, which render metals extremely brittle, in both modes.

"If we don't stop war, it'll stop us"
On the surface, Bolt is a fearless, brave fighter. Doesn't talk a lot, doesn't complain and fights to the end. Beneath his tough exterior, Bolt is a wreck. Early in the war Bolt was the only survivor when his outpost was bombed. His hearing has never been the same since. Sometimes he can hear fine, other times he can't hear a thing. The problem isn't his audio receptors, it's within his brain. While his mental capacities weren't actually affected, he's terrified that one day he wont realise he's in danger and that'll be the end of him. Only Meteor knows the vulnerable side of this otherwise stoic Autobot. Not even Smokescreen has uncovered Bolt's problems. Bolt does his best to hide his fear, and in doing so he has become respected, even revered amongst Autobot fliers. Carries heat seeking missiles as plane, and vibrato-shell pistol in robot mode, which disrupts the crystal lattice of most metals.

"Weapons speak louder than words"
Like her brother Fireflight, this Autobot's usually distracted, even while flying. She's smarter than her brother though. She's an excellent shot when she bothers to aim properly. Loves to shoot, whether at a beer can or a Decepticon. She prefers a moving target, though. Nothing feels better to Firefly than a dogfight. She's a better flier than her brother, and usually holds her own in a dogfight. Usually screams into battle with all guns blazing, simply because it's a good excuse to shoot. A lot of Autobots worry about her obsession with weaponry, but she (usually) doesn't take it too far. Carries the same weaponry as her twin brother, and is more capable with it. Firefly's biggest weakness is her strength. In fact part of the reason she likes guns is because she knows just how weak she is.

"To beat the enemy you've got to beat your allies"
Meteor's job is basically to command troops while in the air. When she's back on the ground she loses her rank. She's a fairly experienced soldier who's sick of the war. Longs for the war to end. Has found something of a soulmate in one of her subordinates, Bolt. When on the ground, Meteor usually spends her spare time with him. Bolt's quite happy to have her around, too, since he could use an extra set of audio receptors. In the air, Meteor's very good at reacting to changing situations, which makes her ideal at leading during battle. As much as she hates combat, she accepts her responsibility, feels her role is to keep her troops alive and well. Carries stun gun, since she likes to avoid killing, if possible. As a Harrier she carries self-guiding missiles, she knows it's kill or be killed in aerial combat.
